Caution

This page is sample text supplied with the theme to show the layout. It is not a privacy policy and it is not legal advice. Replace all of it with a policy written for your own organization and reviewed by a qualified professional.

Who we are

Say who runs the service and how people can reach you about privacy. Link to your contact page.

What we collect

List the kinds of information you collect, in plain words, and say where each comes from.

  • Information people give you directly.
  • Information created when they use the service.
  • Information you receive from other services they connect.

Why we use it

For each kind of information, say what you use it for and what allows you to use it.

Who we share it with

Name the kinds of organization that receive information from you and why.

How long we keep it

Say how long each kind of information is kept and what happens when that time ends.

Messages you send us

Say what happens to a message someone sends you: who reads it, what you use it for, where it is kept and for how long.

As supplied, the contact page shows email addresses, and a message goes straight from the visitor’s own mail program to yours; the theme stores nothing. The contact form and the newsletter form are previews that send nothing until you connect them. Once connected, the contact form sends the name, email address, topic and message to the form endpoint you configure, and the newsletter form sends the email address to the one you set for it. Name the organization that runs that endpoint here, as one that receives information from you, and rewrite this section to match what your site does.

Cookies and similar storage

List the cookies and other browser storage your site uses, what each one is for and how long it lasts. Say how people can change their mind: the “Cookie settings” button in the footer opens the choice again.

As supplied, the theme sets no cookies. It keeps three things in the visitor’s own browser: the cookie choice, a dismissed announcement, and whether the moving backgrounds are paused. Rewrite this section to match what your site does once you add your own services.

Your choices

Explain how people can see, correct, export or delete their information, and how long a request takes.

Say how you will tell people when this page changes.
